Friendica Disaster Recovery

Faulty peripheral power supply killed my server a little over a day ago.
120 gigs of MySQL data just wouldn't come up - backup is far from recent. My fault. Most corrupted tables were of course in Friendica.
After much nail chewing everything now appears operational again with minimum(?) data loss.

In other words: can you all read me? ;-)

@Peter Schlager Welcome back and sorry about your loss! The most important data your database holds is your account cryptographic keys. Should they be lost and randomly recreated, you wouldn't be able to use the same username on the same domain for remote communication as your messages would be rejected by remote nodes that knew about your account as trying to impersonate you.

Are those rotated often (or ever)?
On one hand, security… on the other, it would highly mitigate the need for a recent backup.

Thank you for that insight! I suppose the recovery worked in that regard otherwise I would not have been able to post again seamlessly in the first place? In other words, my messages wouldn't visible on the remote nodes my own node is delivering too?
Friendica currently says "Delivery to remote servers completed 18/18" (paraphrased from german) for this post so can I trust everything is a-okay?

Yes, no matter how old your backup is, as long as your account was already existing, I wouldn't expect communication issues.
